Resource Definition Geologist

Join our team as a Resource Definition Geologist and play a critical role in growing and optimising our gold operations. You will lead resource definition drilling programs, deliver high-quality geological information and provide key geological input into mine planning and operational decision-making.’


This is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact through technical excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About the role:

• Become part of a team having significant impact on near term production
• Develop key resource definition skills and put them to the test as part of a fast paced and ambitious team
• Team operating across multiple sites, with multiple rigs presenting many future opportunities with success.

Role responsibilities:

• Promote a strong safety culture while mentoring and supporting developing geology professionals.
• Execute large scale resource definition drill programs
• Ensure high-quality geological data collection, validation and reporting standards.
• Manage drilling contractors and consultants to ensure safe and efficient program delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across resource geology processes and practices.

About the candidate:

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
• Sound knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
• Proficiency in Surpac and Leapfrog software.
• Understanding of the mining lifecycle from exploration through to production.
• Experience planning and managing resource definition and resource development drilling programs.
• Demonstrated underground gold mining experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
